Easter in Spain and Ecuador

In Spain, Easter is celebrated with great excitement. People continue with their customs and traditions. During these days, the streets become spaces for music, flowers and art of religious sculptures.

Easter is celebrated in all the cities of Spain. However, there are parties which by its special appeal and uniqueness, are well known. For example, in Sevilla sees the brothers carrying the Virgin, while parading through the streets. During the Easter Basin can also enjoy the concerts of the Religious Music Week, taking place in historical buildings such as the Cathedral.

In Ecuador, the celebration of Easter has particular characteristics. Processions, preparing the Fanesca or the tendency to spend the holiday on the beach are some of the ways to commemorate this Catholic celebration.
